Structures, structures and more structures. There are structures everywhere.
When we put something together with a number of parts, that’s  structure. So did you know that there is political structure, like government and physical structures like buildings.

Our bodies also have structure in the way the tissues, organs, and other parts work together.

So who gets the chance to do all this?

Yes, you said it: Engineers. Engineers are the professionals who use scientific knowledge, mathematics and of course ingenuity to do all that. They make sure through their design, that everything will stay together safely and it’s all affordable.

The month of June is special because it’s: National Women in Engineering Day (UK) on 23 June 2014. This was set up by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) to celebrate their 95th anniversary.
